About Greg Lotz
My career has encompassed 12 years in Naval Aviation and more than three decades in business, working where contracts, technology, and operations meet. Through Lotz HealthTech Advisory™, I bring that experience to organizations seeking practical help with contracts, business relationships, and operational challenges in the post-acute healthcare market.
My approach to contracting took shape during my service in the U.S. Navy. At my last duty station, as a Wing Maintenance Officer, I learned that achieving operational goals with a civilian contractor required a different approach from leading military personnel. Understanding the contract—what it required, what it allowed, and how to work within it—was essential to getting results. That experience sparked an interest in contracting that continued into my work writing hospital agreements at Abbott Laboratories and later as VP of Contracts with KanTime™.
In the post-acute healthcare market, my experience has included sales, training, implementation, electronic visit verification (EVV), partner strategy, and integration oversight. At CM2000, I played a pivotal role in the proposal effort that secured the company’s Texas EVV contract. At KanTime, my leadership responsibilities have included contracts, integration oversight, and partner strategy, giving me a broad understanding of how agreements and business decisions affect customers, vendors, and the people responsible for delivering on those commitments.
My contract guidance draws on more than a decade of contracting experience across military and corporate roles, complemented by my broader business and operational experience. I’m not an attorney, nor do I provide legal advice. Where legal interpretation or advice is needed, I encourage clients to involve their legal counsel.
I enjoy the puzzle of a contract: understanding how its provisions fit together and what they mean in practice. I read an agreement as a whole before examining individual terms, because a provision that seems straightforward in one section can have a very different effect when considered alongside the entirety of the agreement.
Through Lotz HealthTech Advisory™, I offer contract review and negotiation support, vendor and partner guidance, and business and operational advice focused on the post-acute healthcare market, including the operational impact of EMR and EVV capabilities. My goal is to help clients understand their commitments, ask the right questions, and make informed decisions grounded in the realities of their business.
I hold a BS in Aviation Management from Auburn University and an MBA from American Intercontinental University, earned with a 4.0 GPA while working full time. I completed my naval service at the rank of Lieutenant Commander (LCDR).
